HOLIDAY SEASON

INQUIRIES FOR ACCOMMODATION An unprecedented number of inquiries are being received by the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce Accommodation Bureau for accommodation in private homes during the holiday season. An unusually large number of visitors are seeking full board at terms from £2 to £2/10/- a week. There is also a good demand for furnished rooms and bed and breakfast only. The demand for furnished houses, uniike earlier years, is not nearly so keen as in the past. In order that the maximum number of visitors may be accommodated, the Chamber is appealing to citizens who are in a position to take guests to forward their names immediately to the organiser, Hay’s Buildings, from whom details may be obtained.
