At the wool sales, there was spirited competition from Yorkshire, the Continent and America. Prices were well sustained and any withdrawals were due entirely to owners' excessive reserves. Greasy merino sold to 28Sd. Of 13,362 bales offered, 12,031 were sold, 1965 privately.
