“AT HOME”
MRS C. K. ORR-WALKER FAREWELLED Yesterday afternoon Mrs C. Johnston gave a very enjoyable party at her home in Sefton Street in honour of Mrs C. R. Orr-Walker. who leaves early in December to live in Auckland. Beautiful flowers decorated the rooms, roses in many shades and bowls of dainty mixed flowers being arranged in the drawing room. In the dining room where tea was served pastel tinted flowers were arranged in a jade green bowl and in the hall the decorations were tall blue irises and bowls of marigolds.
Mrs Johnston wore a black silk marocain frock with ecru lace front, and posy of red flowers and Mrs Orr Walker was in a frock of black georgette with knife-pleated hem, and a hip-length coat of fur. Her smart little black skull cap with eye veil was sewn with daffodil silk which matched the posy in her coat.
