AFTERNOON TEA PARTY
Mr and Mrs Donald Burnett, Te Akatarawa Station entertained a number of their friends at afternoon tea In honour of their daughter, Miss Marawill Burnett whose marriage to Mrs R. Hassall, England, takes place shortly in Timaru. Large bowls of pink japonica and cream blossom were used to decorate the spacious rooms and hall of the attractive old homestead. Those present were: Mr and Mrs Donald Burnett, Miss Marawill Burnett, Mrs T. A. Munro, Mr and Mrs Arthur Munro, Mr and Mrs Arthur Sutton, Mr and Mrs Hayes, Rev. and Mrs Bates, Mr and Mrs McAuley, Mr and Mrs Christianson, Mr and Mrs Tripp, Mr and Mrs J. Mackenzie, Mr and Mrs Pavletich, Mr and Mrs Neave, Mrs Cameron, Mr and Mrs Gillies, Mr and Mrs Grant Munro, Misses Matheson, Church, C. Munro, M. Gabites, D. Wilson, McKenzie, Lister Smith, Messrs J. Mi’TO, D. Matheson, R. Trotter, S. and A. Burnett, B. Ritchie.
