BRITISH ’PLANE DOWN Al SEA.— One of the Hawker Osprey reconnaissance aeroplanes carried by HALS. Apollo shortly after it cracked up in the Gulf of Georgia, near Comox. B.C.. on the western coast of Canada, and was badly damaged. The pilot and gunner aboard escaped uninjured. Wash from the Apollo, a British West Indies squadron cruiser, upset the seaplane a moment after it made a perfect landing.
