BALL AT SPRINGBROOK
In spite of the inclement weather a happy throng of dancers filled the Springbrook School on the occasion of the annual ball of the spinsters and bachelors of Springbrook. The grand march was led by the secretaries Miss Ngarie Allan and Mr Stewart Rogers. Music was supplied by a Waimate orchestra assisted with extras by Mrs R. Rouse and Misses Muriel and Dorothy Wilkie. Mr L. Allan was M.C. Novelty dances included a Monte Carlo waltz, won by Miss Alma Preston and Mr Gordon Scott and a lucky spot won by Miss Muriel Wilkie and partner.
