NEW CONTRACT SIGNED By rplperaph - Htpsp Assaclntinn WELLINGTON, August 29. It was announced last evening by the Minister of Marketing (Hon. W. Nash) that as a result of negotiations between overseas shipping companies’ representatives, the New Zealand Government and the New Zealand Meat Board, a new shipping freight contract had been signed, covering all refrigerated cargo exported from the Dominion to Britain and other destinations, covered by the terms of the contract, which will remain effective for three years. The new rates represent an increase of approximately 25 per cent over the present rates.
