The country cricket season is drawing to a close, and although the leaders each have three more matches to play, Derbyshire which is at the head of the county table, with a percentage of 58.4, has a sufficient lead over last year’s champions. Yorkshire, with 51.11 to be geiit rally expected to become the champion county, a position which the Derbyshire team has secured only once before in ths history of t ;c championship.
