One day both Peter Pan and Bill Went for a walk o’er dale and hill; But Mike was not allowed to go, And sulked for half-an-hour or so, Till Smoki said, “Cheer up, my dear! Why don’t you hold a Party here? The cats will come, now Bill’s away. Let’s make this quite a gala day. With this plan Mike was most excited
The neighbour’s cats were all invited, And soon the party numbered eight, Who sat upon the lawn in state. But just as they were having tea, Bill came home unexpectedly. —Ha! Ha! —Six cats at once to chase! —A smile lit up his naughty face. He grinned, “What oh! This is a lark” Then charged with awe-inspiring bark!
