McPhail (Celtic >, A. Gaffaney (Temuka), E. Ryan (Old Boys). Five-eighths—C. Cartwright (Stax), R. Lundy (Waimate Sub-Union). Half-back:: G. Wright (Waimate Sub-Union). Forwards —G. Adkins (Star, captain), R. Duncan (Zingari), F. Thomson (Old Boys), W. Robertson (Mackenzie Sub-Union), H. Graham (Old Boys), A. Higginbottc:- (Temuka), T. Gunn (Star). D. O'Sullivan (Celtic). Reserves, forwards: P. McShane (Geraldine), W. Dennison (Waimate Sub-Union). Backs— R. Jamieson (Waihi), G King (Star).
A “Combined” Match: It was decided by the New Zealand Union last week that the match against the Australian touring team at Masterton on September 2 should be by a combined Wairarapa-Bush side. Previously the game was with Wairarapa alone.
