Atmore, M.P., to mark his recent marriage to Miss Dorothy Corrigan, of Hawera, was made in the Theatre Royal last evening, when the theatre was filled by enthusiastic constituents. The presentation, which took the form of a grandfather clock and a cheque, was made by the Mayor (Mr G. L. Page). Speakers, representing local bodies, paid tributes to Mr Atmore and welcomed Mrs Atmore. Replying, Mrs Atmore said she had already succumbed to the beauty of the city and did not think it could be otherwise, than happy.
