SPLENDID PROGRESS MADE By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 19. Trough wind and rain retarded the work a little, splendid progress was made to-day with the formidable task of changing over the Wairarapa and Hutt Valley railway line from the old Lambton platforms to the two new platforms at the new railway station. It was expected, to-night that there would be no hitch to preclude the use of the new platforms by passengers on the first train at 6 am. to-morrow. A start was made with the change-over at 9 am yesterday In all 140 men were put on the job and the station yard was the scene oi feverish activity.
