The Exhibition Grounds will be transformed into a sportsmen’s city. France is sending over 1000 athletes. The Soviet is represented by 100 athletes, which is the largest team ever sent out of Russia. The Berlin correspondent of the Australian Associated Press says that a sensation was caused at the Olympic swimming pool when the Japanese champion, Yusa, broke down and collapsed after swimming a few yards, with shoulder trouble, due to excessive training. Aral, the fast Japanese swimmer, is also showing a tendency to fall off for the same reason. A brother and sister unprecedentedly are included in the Olympiad with the inclusion of Miss A. Brown, sister of A. G. K. Brown, as sprinter in the British women’s Olympic Games team, after gaining third place in the British 100 metres championship.
