FIJIAN TEAM BEATEN By Telegraph—Press Association EKETAHUNA, July 8. The Fiji ladles’ hockey team met Bush to-day in the first match of the New Zealand tour. The visitors had obviously not recovered from the effects of the trip, and were unaccustomed to a damp ground. Nevertheless they showed some excellent stick work. Bush won by 6 goals to nil. NEW ZEALAND v. FIJI By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 8. The New Zealand team to play the Fiji hockey team will be:—

Goal—Miss Meech (Akitio). Fullbacks—Misses Wooley (Marlborough) , McDonald (Eastern). Halfbacks—Misses Mackie (Otago), Sanson (Eastern), Gudsell (Canterbury) . Forwards—Misses Cotter (Auckland), Sherry (Eastern), Mrs Reid (Eastern), Misses McKenzie (Canterbury), Pickering (Wellington). Mrs Reid is captain, Miss Mackie vice-captain and' Mrs J. H. Poulter, manager.
