TRAGEDY AT THE HOMER TUNNEL.— Entrance to the Homer Tunnel, a link in the Eglinton Valley tourist road, now under construction. One man was killed here and several others injured by an avalanche. When the tunnel is completed, Milford Sound will be made accessible to tourists by the new road from Lake Te Anau.
