DEFENCE PROBLEMS
LITTLE ENTENTE’S PRECAUTIONS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright BUCHAREST, June 14. In accordance with arrangements previously made, the Chiefs of Staffs of the Czecho-Slovakian and Jugoslav armies, accompanied by representatives of the principal sections, have arrived to begin a five days’ conference aiming at the co-ordination of the Little Entente’s defences. The problems being discussed include the unification of armaments and the establishment of new armament works in Roumania and Jugoslavia, which will co-operate with Czecho-Slovakian factories. The convocation of the conference is regarded in diplomatic circles as an indication of the seriousness with which the Little Entente views the situation in consequence of the weakening of the League and the breakdown of collective security.
