NEW METHODS PROPOSED

TOKIO, June 14,
The Government is considering a new method of taxation, says the Finance Minister, Mr Baba, based on a sliding scale, providing for a higher minimum, medium or wartime expenditure as the new national policy necessitated.
The Government has lifted its ban from public meetings, which had operated since the militarist outbreak in February. a It Is understood that the raising of the State martial law will follow.
