Blue-jackets are guarding the trains. The first determined Arab attack on Jewish settlements occurred near Armageddon. The firing lasted two hours. The Arabs fled when British reinforcements arrived. Catholic Arabs have appealed to the Pope for mediation in the trouble. Telegraph and telephone wires have been cut in all directions. The damage is estimated at £lO,OOO.
