THE DOMAIN BOARD USE FOR FOOTBALL At the monthly meeting of the Geraldine Domain Board a letter was received from the hon. secretary of the Geraldine Football Club (Mr W. McCullough), who applied for permission to use the Domain Oval for 10 playing Saturdays. The Board decided to grant the application, with the proviso that should the Domain be required for any other purpose on receipt of one week’s notice, the Football Club would have to surrender the oval for that particular Saturday. "THE LAST OUTPOST” Cary Grant, Claude Rains, of "The Invisible Man” fame, Gertrude Michael. Kathleen Burke and the New Zealander Colin Tapley head the cast of the Paramount film, “The Last Outpost” to be screened at the Municipal Theatre to-night and to-morrow night. It is a story of a handful of men who control the destinies of millions of people in the fierce, mysterious deserts and jungles of Arabia. Filmed by the Same company that made "The Lives of a Bengal Lancer," this film tells of a three-cornered romance between two officers and a nurse in a behind-the-Ilnes hospital. Fast friends, inseparable, the two men go through many dangers together. Grant’s life is saved by his brother officer, who in turn, because of the girl, goes through a million hells to kill him. How these two friends are r-'.nited is told in an exciting climax. Good supports will be screened. Mr E. Cholerton, Optical Specialist, proprietor of Procters, the Premier Opticians, Christchurch, has just returned from abroad and has resumed practice.
