ST. ANDREWS

BIBLE CLASS SOCIAL A most enjoyable opening social arranged by members of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Bible Class was held in the Presbyterian Sunday School Hall on Tuesday evening. Visitors from Southburn, Springbrook, and the Anglican Bible Class were welcomed by the Rev. J. M. Patterson. The evening was spent in games and competitions Interspersed with items as follows: Pianoforte solo, Mrs Pooke; song, Miss Marion Hutton; vocal trio, Misses Eva Dash, Marion Hutton and Mr D. Bruce; song with guitar accompaniment, Miss Grace Pooke. Miss E. Dash was the winner of a competition. Supper was handed round by members of the St. Andrews Class. CRIBBAGE At the weekly cribbage evening conducted by the Pareora East School Committee, the prizes were won by Mrs P. A. Coote W. J. Morgan.
