Compulsory voting, with election expenses limitation, was advocated by Mr Bennett, in reply to the Speech from the Throne. The trade treaty with the United States was attacked as improvident. Mr Angus Maclnnis (Commonwealth Federation) gave notice of a resolution granting the franchise to all Orientals or to exclude them. If the Oriental was good enough to be a resident he was good enough to vote. If he was not good enough he should be elsewhere.
