In the Sheffield Shield match against Victoria, Queensland in the second innings made 478 for six wickets (declared). Hansen made 72, Cook not out 56, Fallon 193, and Allen 44. Gregory took two wickets for 80. Plant two for 81, and Welch two for 116. Victoria, in the second innings lost two wickets for 179 (Rigg not out 78. Lee 43, Scaife not out 46). Gilbert took one wicket for 31, and Wyeth one for 39. Victoria won on the first innings. Queensland in the fist innings made 194 and Victoria replied with 446.
