The match between Australia and Transvaal was continued this morning. The weather was fine and warm and the wicket perfect. Darling was the victim of a great catch at deep square leg. He hit nine fours. Chipperfield hit two fours in succession after which he was bowled by a beautiful off-turn. Another sensation came when Fingleton was bowled first ball in Gaydon’s next over, the ball keeping low and shooting in sharply. Fingleton displayed delightful forcing tactics and hit 11 fours.
