RICHARD DIX WILL NOT VISIT AUSTRALIA
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 9, 7.0 p.m.) HOLLYWOOD, January 8. Richard Dix informed the Australian Associated Press that he had received an offer from British Gaumont, Sydney, to play the lead in "The Flying Doctor,” but was unable to accept. The decision was due to physicians’ advice against having his seven month old twin sons, Richard and Robert, taken for a long trip. He declined to travel without his family, although he found the contract attractive.

Douglas Fairbanks announces that he will never act for the screen again. He will continue producing films, however, the first being “Marco Polo,” which he has been planning for seven years.
