ATTACK ON MT. EVEREST BRITISH EXPEDITION ORGANISED British Official Wireless (Received December 17, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, December 16. Twelve members of the party which will make an attempt on Mt. Everest next year have been chosen. The leader is Mr Hugh Ruttledge, and the party includes eight others, of whom Mr F. S. Smythe is one, who have already climbed once or more on Everest.

The selectors have had the assistance of the central medical establishment of the Royal Air Force in choosing the candidates best fitted to the special conditions of the attempt to climb Mt. Everest.
