FATAL INJURIES

MAN THROWN FROM LORRY By Telegraph—Press Association GISBORNE, December 17. While returning to Tolaga Bay on Monday evening on the last lorry of logs being transported to Tolago Bay for shipment to the K.D.V. Box Coy., Auckland, John J. Pritchard, 59, a widower, was thrown to the ground and crushed by the logs which became dislodged while the lorry was passing another vehicle. Pritchard had a leg fractured and suffered from shock. He was removed to the Cook Hospital in a fairly serious condition, and died this evening.
