MEMORY OF FALLEN
ALL BLACKS’ TRIBUTE LONDON. November 23. The High Commissioner lor New Zealand has received a letter from Lieut.-Colonel H. G. Grace, who is resident at Brockenhurst, relative to the wreath which was laid by the New Zealand footballers on the New Zealand War Memorial on Armistice Day. Colonel Grace says the people of Brockenhurst appreciated the short ceremony before the memorial, and he adds: “As you are aware, the care and attention displayed by Brockenhurst folk on the ‘New Zealand Corner,’ is, and has been, a labour of consideration and regard for the parents and relatives of the young lads who lie buried here. “As a New Zealander myself, I appreciate this very much. New Zealand and this little community were for years during the war brought into the closest association, and I know that association was greatly strengthened and renewed by what took place, and by the part the degelation took in the proceedings.”
