LAST PUBLIC APPEARANCE. —Earl Jellicoe, Admiral of the Fleet, and one of the great figures of the World War, died at his home at Kensington, London, on November 20, from a chill contracted at the Cenotaph on Armistice Day. Above is one of the last photographs of Earl Jellicoe, taken after he had christened the British Legion locomotive at Easton Station, his last public engagement. Sir Josiah Stamp, chairman of the London, Midland, and Scottish Railway, is on the left, and the late Earl Jellicoe is standing on the footplate of the engine.
