So far Hunting Song has not sired a two-mile winner, but if Sporting Blood returns in time he may be hard to beat in the Auckland Cup with 8.10. He was sixth in the Melbourne Cup after a break in his preparation, and has half a stone more than 8.10 in the Summer Cup at Randwick.
