BOGUS STUDENT

EXPOSURE OF IMPERSONATION BY PROFESSOR United Press Association—By Electrio Tel egraph—Copyright (Received December 5, 5.5 p.m.) CALCUTTA, December 4. A wayward moustache and an unhappily placed fan, revealed that Professor Gupta, of Ripon College, was impersonating a pupil at a Bachelor of Arts examination. The revelation resulted in a sentence of six months’ imprisonment on charges of fraud. The occupation of the wrong seat emphasised the suspiciousness of dark glasses, and observers noticed a fan above the professor’s head. When one side of the moustache became detached, the professor lost confidence and bolted. He was chased, and caught, by which time he was without his moustache. The pupil was acquitted of abetting the offence.
