PORT OF TIMARU The Breeze arrived yesterday morning from the south and after loading for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, sailed in the evening for Lyttelton. With one overseas, one inter-colonial and two coastal vessels due, the port should be much busier in a day or two. ARRIVAL December 5. Breeze, m.v., 622 tons (Stewart) from Oamaru. (D. C. Jan. 3 Port Hobart, Dunedin Jan. 3 NOTES The Waikouaiti was to have left Dunedin yesterday for Timaru where she is due this morning to discharge Australian coal and to load general cargo for Sydney. She should sail this evening for Lyttelton. It is expected that the Karu will reach Timaru this evening to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth, sailing the same night for Lyttelton. The Parera, on the Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato run, is scheduled to arrive to-night from the south. The Waipiata is listed to arrive on Sunday from Dunedin, loading on Monday for Picton, Wellington and Auckland. The King Malcolm The King Malcolm is now due to arrive to-morrow from Lyttelton to discharge a part cargo of asphalt [ from Tampico. She should proceed to Dunedin on Monday. Karetu’s Movements. The Union Company announces that the Karetu is to leave Sydney on December 9 for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton. She is due at this port on December 14. lonic Leaves Southampton. Cabled advice received states that the Shaw, Savill steamer lonic, from London, left Southampton on November 29 for Auckland and Port Chalmers. She is due at Auckland on January 8, and at Port Chalmers about January 13. Huntingdon Coming. The Huntingdon is expected to arrive at Auckland to-day from Liverpool. She is to complete discharge of her cargo at Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff. New Zealand Star Replaced. The Doric Star sailed from London on November 28 for New Zealand via South Africa in place of the New Zealand Star. She is to load Homeward at Dominion ports late in January. Personal. Mr R. H. Masters has been engaged as second engineer of the Holmgien, relieving Mr A. P. Walker. Mr T. C. Langford has been engaged as second mate of the Breeze, relieving Mr T. E. Eaton.
