LODGE MEETING

N.G. Bro. Geo. Glover presided over a good attendance of members of the Loyal Timaru Lodge No. 5308 M.U., 1.0.0. F. held on Wednesday evening. One candidate was initiated, four members declared on and four members ofl the sick funds. The juvenile invitation to the adult lodge to be present at its next meeting was accepted. A donation of £l/1/- was made to the funds of the local committee of the Health Stamp Campaign. It was unanimously decided to entertain the Juvenile Lodges on December 21. D.P.G.M. Bro. G. Grandi on behalf of the Lodge presented Bro. J. Niles with his emblem and congratulated him on the able manner in which he had carried out his duties as an officer of the Lodge, and hoped that although he had passed through the chairs of oflice, he would continue to carry on the good work in the future. The Honours of the Order were then conferred on Bro. J. Niles, who replied thanking the Lodge and all officers who assisted him while in oflice. Bro. G. Emmerson spoke with interest about his visit to the North Island Lodges/ It was unanimously decided to present Bro. T. Webb with a Juvenile Superintendent Jewel for his untiring efforts in the interest of the juvenile movement throughout the years. Bro. G. Glover was appointed Tyler for the special district meeting. One candidate was proposed for membership.
