TIMARU CLUB At a meeting of the Timaru Cycling Club there were present Messrs W. R. Willmott (in the chair), R. Rennett, J. Davey, J. Parfitt, J. Cremin senr. and G. V. Tozer. The course for the clubs 50 mile South Canterbury championship will be from Washdyke to Albury and back. The following prizes were arranged: First, £3/3/- cash, the president’s cup (Mr W. R. Willmott) and Mr S. G. McClellands trophy; second, £l/1/cash, Mr R. G. Slades trophy and Bell Cycle Co. trophy (per Mr J. Hogg); third, 10/- cash and Mr N. Ford’s trophy; fourth, 5/- cash and Mr E. Henshaw’s trophy; fifth, Brehaut Bros, trophy; sixth, Mr Sid Goddard’s trophy; seventh, Economic Shoe Stores trophy; eighth, Mr G. S. Ayling’s trophy. Fastest time championship blue ribband presented by J. Ballantyne and Co., the gold printing by the “Timaru Herald” Co. Ltd., and silver cup presented by Priest and Holdgate and the Club. Second fastest time, 10/cash and Mr Geo. Whitehouse’s trophy. The following officials were elected.— Referee, Mr H. H. Fraser; starters and timekeepers, Messrs H H. Fraser, W. Hall and G. V. Tozer; judges, Messrs C. E. Hall, p. Chamberlain, M. H. Richards and C. H. Foley; marksmen, Messrs R. A. Rodgers, R. Rennett, N. Ford, R. Hill, J. Cremin, J H. Willmott; press steward, Mr G. Drew; course stewards, Messrs R. A. Rodgers Jnr. and T. Stoddart. Following are the results of the clubs meeting held last evening at the Caledonian grounds. One Mile.—J. Cremin (20yds) 1, W. R. Willmott (scr) 2, J. Parfitt (115yds) 3. One and Half Miles.—B. Dunnili (170yds) 1, G. Metcalfe (160yds) 2, R. Brookland (180yds) 3.
