THE NEW REGIME

SUGGESTION TO EMPLOYERS By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, December 3. A reference to the advent of the Labour Party as the Government of the Dominion was made by Colonel W. D. Holgate, president, at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Coal Mine Owners’ Association. “As employers,” said Colonel Holgate, “I would suggest that we should support the new Government wherever possible iu legislation designed for the well-being of gut country. Naturally we may not see eye to eye with the Labour Party in every detail, but I would urge careful and deliberate consideration to the many proposals that will no doubt be brought before Parliament during the term of office of the Labour Party. As far as possible we must co-operate for the good of the country and well-being of the people generally.”
