ALL BLACKS IN ENGLAND KEEN INTEREST IN TO-DAY’S MATCH United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright LONDON, September 17. The Midland Counties team to play the All Blacks on Thursday, is as fol-lows:—Full-back: Harris. Three-quar-ters: Obolonsky, Cranmer, S. Walker, Thacker. Halves: Giles, Bayliss. Forwards: A. Walker, Wyman, Whitley, Clarke, Dunkley, Beamish, Purchase, Anthony. • The team is expected to give the New Sealanders a far stiffer task than on Saturday. It includes six internationals, of whom Cranmer, Giles, Dunkley and Clarke are English, and Beamish (Irish) are eligible, because they are at present with the Royal Air Force at Cranwell, while Bayliss, the Welsh full-back, who played against Scotland in 1933, Is now playing standoff half. Moreover, the front row pack, A. Walker, Wyman and Wheatley was England’s selection for the International trial last year. The New Zealanders’ visit is arousing great interest. All the reserved seats have been sold.
