SOCIAL GATHERINGS There was a good attendance at the weekly dance held under the auspices of the Victoria Hall committee. Extras were played by Misses M. Blissett and j Davey. Mr W. Watson and Miss Kennedy won the Monte Carlo. Messrs W. J. Jackson and J. Cripps were masters of ceremonies. There was a large attendance at a euchre social organised by the social committee of St. John's Church, Winchester. The prizes were won by Miss E. Blissett, Mrs B. Han, Messrs E. Uden and F. South. The consolation prizes w f ere won by Miss M. Opie and Mr P. Surridge. The aggre/ate prizes for the first four nights were won by Miss Isabel Currie and Mr F. South. Mrs B. Trumper gave che aggregate prizes. Mr S. Hansen played for the dance. Mr W. J. Jackson was master of ceremonies. RIFLE SHOOTING At the weekly shoot of the Winchester Men’s Miniature Rifle Club, A. Sangster was the winner of a trophy given by an anonymous donor. H. Hicks won the weekly button with a possible. The scores were: H. Hicks 80, N. Priddl'e 79, D. Louden 79, J V/. Smith 79, S. Stonehouse 79, J. L. Greenall 78, W. R. Pearce 78, John Cripps 78, J. Stevenson 78, E. Cribb 77, W. Pridd’e 77, James Cripps 76, W. L. Gudsell 76, Ken Langford 75, A. H. Cripps 75, C. Higinbottom 75, C. Louden 75, G. Gould 75, W. J. Jackson 74, N. G. South 70. At the weekly shoot of the Winchester Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club, Mrs D Scammell’s trophy was won by Miss B. Hicks. Mrs W. Priddle won the weekly button. Mrs Kilgour’s trophy last week was won by Mrs D. Louden. The scores were: Mrs W. Priddle 77, Mrs W. J. Jackson 76, Miss L. Priddle 76, Mrs W. Waple 75, Miss M. Opie 73, Miss D. Deßenzy 72, Miss R. McLeod 71, Mrs C. McClelland 70, Miss B. Hicks 71, Miss J. Cunningham 70, Mrs D. Louden 69.
