James Parks (Sussex) has accepted an invitation to tour New Zealand with the M.C.C. team. Parks, a Sussex player, is a firstclass all-i'ounder, one of the best in English county cricket. As a batsman, he has a fine eye for fast bowling, and scores freely from it. Last season he made 1386 runs for his county—in fact, he has now scored over 1000 in a season seven times. As a bowler, his skilful flighting of the ball makes him a valuable member of the attack. He took 56 wickets last season at an average cost of 28.3 runs each. He is an opening batsman, and his inclusion \. ill materially strengthen the M.C.C. side to tour New Zealand.
