HANDSOME GIFTS FOR RESEARCH WORK United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 30, 7.40 p.m.) LONDON, May 30. The Duke of York, in opening the new buildings of the Middlesex Hospital centre for cancer research, announced that two gifts of £50,000 apiece, one from Mr E. Meyerstein, a retired stockbroker, who has given £250,000 to the hospital in eighteen months, and the other from a London business man, Mr W. H. Collins, who had previously given the hospital £25,000.
