A meeting of the Timaru branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held on Friday afternoon. Miss E. Cargill presided over a fair attendance of members. The president referred to the success of the branch in gaining third place in the table decorating competition at the Fairlie Show. She advocated that the arrangements should be discussed earlier next show. A letter was received from the South Canterbury Health Camp Committee thanking the branch for its assistance at the camp held in January and expressing the hope that the Division would continue to take an interest in the work.
