FIGHT IN CAFE
GHASTLY STABBING AFFRAY United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 8, 1.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, May 7. Following an altercation in a cafe at Warrnambool, John Gibson was stabbed in the back and his condition is critical. Robert Mclnnes (aged 27) a prominent cross-country jockey, suSered a deep gash in the throat. The police say that Gibson, who walked into the cafe with a woman, was stabbed from behind and Mclnnes was later found in the backyard with his throat cut.
