CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW
BAY HALL, TO-DAY Entries for the Timaru Horticultural Society’s Chrysanthemum Show closed last evening, and the Show which commences to?day should prove a particularly attractive one. Autumn tints with the chrysanthemum as the predominant bloom always make a most pleasing display. In addition to the splendid classes, there are several exhibitions by prominent growers, a feature for which Timaru shows are well known. Excellent patronage has also been accorded in the decorative sections, of which the dining tables are always the most attractive. Mr W. G. Bayliss of Christchurch will judge the cut flowers sections and Mrs A. M. Darling, Oamaru, the decorative sections. Patrons are reminded that the Bay Hall is a polling booth to-day, and that they may if they so desire, visit the show in addition to recording their votes. The show will be open from 2.30 till 9 p.m.
