NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, May 2. Auckland's application for the North Island amateur road cycling championship was accepted by the National Amateur Cycling Association to-night. The title will be awarded to the fastest competitor in the 100 mile race from Papakura to Ngaruawahia and back on October 5. Auckland’s further application for the 1936 Dominion track championship to be decided on the Western Springs banked concrete track of 513 yards to a lap was held over.
