WEST END AFFAIRS
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION A special meeting of the West End Association, to which representatives of the Croquet, Hockey, Swimming, Harriers and Miniature Rifle Ciubs had been invited, was held in the pavilion on Saturday evening. Mr J. E. Chiles (president), who occupied the chair, said the meeting had been called to remove any misunderstanding as to charges for lighting, heating, etc., and he asked for a better understanding on these and other matters. The question of financing the hall would also be considered. An entertainment committee, consisting of Messrs T. Currie, A. B. Stodart, and T. Elder was appointed to arrange a programme for the winter months. It was suggested that a big function, in which the North and South End Associations would be invited, be held in February or March. It was decided that the charges for the hire of the hall be revised. A letter from Mr P. C. Vinnell, asking for the use of the hall, was left to Messrs Chiles and Mayo to make the necessary arrangements. It was agreed that the united West End and Woodlands Road Harrier Club be granted the use of the hall on Wednesday evenings for training purposes.
