VISIT TO CANADA

PROGRESS OF PRIME MINISTER’S JOURNEY United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph—Copyright VANCOUVER, Auril 19. The New Zealand Prime Minister, Mr G. W. Forbes, arrived on the Aorangi and departed for the East. In an address at the Canadian Club luncheon, Mr Forbes said he believed that considerable progress might be made at the conferences in London regarding the problems of the New Zealand primary producer in the British market. He had always found the British Ministers very fair and ready to lay their cards on the table. Referring to the New Zealand Budget surplus he said similingly: “We have not made things worse.”
