POTTERY COMPANY

FURTHER PROGRESS At a meeting of the provisional directors of the South Canterbury Pottery and Mining Co., Ltd., held last evening, the tenders for remodelling the company’s factory were considered and that of Messrs Malcolm and Lund, of Timaru, was accepted. Work will commence immediately and the factory should be completed within 10 weeks. A further allotment of shares was made, and it was reported that many more shares were already reserved, one application alone from another town being for 1000 shares. The general manager reported that arrangements were well in hand for the installation of the first kiln, and that the company’s experts had been exceedingly busy inspecting suitable machinery.
