The strike of busmen and tramwaymen has entered a new phase, owing to the Irish Republican Army offering to support the strikers. “The Irish Times” describes the offer as nothing more or less than a declaration of civil war. It is a direct challenge to the authority of the Government. The strikers must repudiate the offer immediately.”
