ANNUAL MEETING HELD By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, March 23. The annual meeting of the Law Society of New Zealand elected the following officers:—President, Mr H. F. O’Leary (Wellington); vice-president, Mr A. H. Johnstone, K.C. (Auckland): treasurer, Mr P. Levi (Wellington); management committee of the Solicitors' Fidelity Guarantee Fund, Messrs C. H. Treadwell (chairman), E. P. Hay, P. Levi (Wellington), and A. H. Johnstone. Mr Treadwell announced that he was retiring from the presidency owing to ill-health, and Mr A. T. Donnelly, of Christchurch, in paying him a tribute, said that all members of the council owed him their deepest gratitude for the work done by him for the Society ever a longer period than the lifetime of some of those present at the meeting. Speakers from other centres associated themselves with the.remarks of Mr Donnelly.
