THE SWAN
(Translated from the Old English.) Where men abide, and far the welkin’s My robe is noiseless while I tread the strength earth, Over the multitude conveys me, then Or tarry ’neath the banks, or stir the With rushing whir and clear, melodious shallows; sound But when these shining wings, this My raiment sings. And like a wandepth of air, dering spirit Bear me aloft above the bending shores I float unweariedly, o'er flood and field.
