Miss Marjorie Bowen has written the scenario for “England” the Pageant that will be held in Langley Park, Slough, in May and June, for the King’s Silver Jubilee. Miss Gwen Lally is to direct operations, and there will be some 4,000 performers.
A sequence of misfortunes has attended the publication of Miss Winifred Graham’s new novel of the supernatural, “Hallowmas Abbey.” The person to whom the book is dedicated met with a serious accident, the type was burned in a fire, and publication has been postponed twice.
