HOTEL WORKERS

WAGES INCREASE OF 7J PER CENT. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, March 22. The hearing of the licensed hotels’ dispute occupied four days before the Conciliation Council, and a complete agreement was reached, the terms of which are an increase of 11 per cent, on the rates paid in 1932, which represents half the cuts imposed on the 1932 rate. The provisions of the current award, including the classification of workers, has been accepted, with two minor alterations. The award will come into force on April 1, and continue for two years.
